Slow Rhythm

The Slow Rhythm is a very popular and easy going dance. While not strictly a Ballroom dance, the Slow Rhythm is available for standard medal exams at the Bronze level, so it seems fitting to include it here. The dance does not require a strict ballroom hold and does sometimes transition into more of an American Smooth style with a breaking of hold for such figures as underarm turns. Because of this very laid back nature, the Slow Rhythm is conversational, and very forgiving on the social floor. The style is great for dancers who are just starting out and want to get some steps under their belt before taking on the more challenging modern ballroom dances.
