"What would life be without a little Cha Cha Cha?"

Weekend Workshop - Cha Cha Cha for Beginners

The Dance

The Cha Cha Cha, or sometimes Cha Cha, or just Cha for lazy people, is a Latin American dance originating in Cuba. With strong ties to Rumba, Salsa, it's a pleasant mix of fun, speed, technique, and style. Basic Cha is easy to learn and before you know it you're stepping, rocking, cha-cha-cha-ing, and burning up the floor.

The Workshop

This course is for people with little to no dance experience at all.

If you've never danced before, that doesn't matter - this is the workshop for you. Over the course of the day we'll take you through all the steps from scratch. We'll teach the boys how to lead and the girls how to follow. By the end of the day you will have a short Cha Cha Cha sequence to dance, and the tools to mix it up too.

You don't need any special equipment and you don't need dance shoes. If you don't have dance shoes then comfortable shoes with soft soles that don't grip are recommend. Boots and strong gripping shoes are not advised.

We'll kick off the dancing at 11am, so be sure to arrive a little earlier if you need to change shoes or general attire. The day will be broken into 4 sessions, with a lunch break at the half way point.

  • 11:00am to 11:55am Session 1
  • 12:05pm to 1:00pm Session 2
  • 1:00pm to 2:00pm Lunch (included)
  • 2:00pm to 2:55pm Session 3
  • 3:05pm to 4:00pm Session 4

The Lunch

A buffet style lunch, and a bottle of water is included. Additional bottles of water will be on sale for $1. Complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits will be available during break times.
