Spinning Around the Ballroom
Welcome to historic Vienna, where we’ll be twirling around the room with the Parma Waltz. This is a truly old-school dance that has stood the test of time thanks to its simplicity and beauty. It has some classic holds and moves in it, like swivels, shadow hold, locks, the break-away and, of course, that iconic natural waltz at the end of the routine.
The pattern of this dance is not difficult to learn at all – getting it working with your partner is the trick. We’ll take some time to look at both the shadow and the closed hold to maximize the ease with which we can turn around our partner when is comes to swivels and waltzes, and have everyone floating around the floor in no time.
