A Game for Kings. A Ball for Queens
Black & White Ball
Tonight two worlds collide as Long-Steps Ballroom Dancing combines with the Tasmanian Chess Association (Inc.) to bring you a fundraising event like no other - the Black & White Ball.
We will be dancing the night away in attire of Black, White, and Black & White, with an array of themed games, a Silent Auction, and a supper fit for a King (or Queen), this is a night not to be missed.
Dress Up, or Pay Up!
Fair warning, this is a Black & White occasion. While we don't expect black tie with top hat and tails - though some of you could totally pull that off - anyone not dressed for the occasion will have to pay the King's Ransom. $1 donation for anyone not in Black & White.
Knights, Bishops, and Rooks
Many have danced the game "Knights, Statues & Lovers", well tonight we dance "Knight, Bishops & Rooks". With new poses, and great prizes don't miss out on this variation on a theme. All we need now is a Court Jester!
Chess, like Tennis, is a quiet sport; there is no talking when the game is on. How fitting then, to have a Silent Auction. Items will be for sale until supper time when the winners will be named.
Long-Steps is now collecting items for auction - watch this space for more information.
