Tickets are $45 per person and include afternoon tea. Tickets are are available online. All guests are invited to dinner after the workshop (not included in ticket price).
The Argentine Stroll is a sensual and sexy tango dance that is popular and fun. In this Ballroom meets Buenos Aires sequence we'll get a look at moves like the Hook, and the Ronde. To get you in the mood we have some fantastic pieces of music that will make you shiver, and then burn as you immerse yourself in an afternoon of Tango.
Over the course of 4 hours we'll take you through the entire dance from start to finish. You don't need any special dancing experience, and you don't need any special equipment. If you have some dancing shoes, or shoes with soft soles that don't grip we recommend you bring them along. Boots and strong gripping shoes are not recommended.
We'll kick off the dancing at 1pm, so be sure to arrive a little earlier if you need to change shoes or general attire. The day will be broken into 4 sessions, with an afternoon tea break (included in ticket price), followed by an open invitation to join the Long-Steps crew for dinner (not include in ticket price).
- 1pm to 1:55pm Session 1
- 2pm to 2:50pm Session 2
- 2:50pm to 3:10pm afternoon tea
- 3:10pm to 4pm Session 3
- 4:05pm to 5pm Session 4
- 6pm Dinner
We recommend bringing along a water bottle, but they will be on sale for $1 a bottle through out the day. You will also receive 1 with your afternoon tea. Complimentary tea and coffee will be available during the break times.
Long-Steps would like to extend an invitation to all our workshop students to join us for dinner after the workshop is complete. In keeping with the Argentine theme of the day Long-Steps has booked a table at Frank Restaurant, a South American influenced establishment on Hobart's waterfront. Dinner will commence at 6pm, and will either be off the menu, or from a set menu depending on the number of guests.
As Frank's is a busy establishment on a Saturday night, we ask that you register your interest no later than the 15th of April, and confirm no later than the 22nd. You can register your interest in dinner when you purchase tickets for the workshop.
